Review Guidelines

Reviews are the heart of ConferencePilot. To maintain a helpful and trustworthy platform, please follow these guidelines when writing reviews:

Do:
  • Base your review on personal experience attending the conference or session

  • Be specific about what you liked or didn't like

  • Provide constructive feedback that helps others and speakers improve

  • Update your review if your opinion changes after reflection

  • Be fair and balanced in your assessment

  • Consider the context (e.g., was it a beginner or advanced session?)

Don't:
  • Write reviews for events you didn't attend

  • Include personal attacks or harassment toward speakers or organizers

  • Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content

  • Use profanity or offensive language

  • Write fake reviews (positive or negative)

  • Accept payment or incentives for biased reviews


Content Standards

All content on ConferencePilot must meet the following standards:

Prohibited Content:
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, etc.

  • Threats, harassment, or bullying

  • Sexually explicit content

  • Illegal activities or content

  • Personal information of others without consent

  • Copyrighted material without permission

  • Malware, phishing, or other malicious content


Rating Guidelines

When rating conferences, sessions, or speakers, consider using the following framework:

5 Stars - Excellent: Exceptional experience that exceeded expectations. Highly recommend to others.

4 Stars - Very Good: Great experience with minor areas for improvement. Would recommend.

3 Stars - Good: Solid experience that met expectations. Some pros and cons.

2 Stars - Fair: Below expectations with significant issues. Might recommend with caveats.

1 Star - Poor: Did not meet basic expectations. Would not recommend.


Enforcement

We take these guidelines seriously and may take the following actions for violations:

  • Warning for first-time minor violations

  • Content removal for guideline violations

  • Temporary suspension for repeated violations

  • Permanent ban for serious or repeated violations
